With one open eye you can observe your own nose and eye socket as part of the external environment. The viewing of your own face from your own perspective is in contrast to the viewing of your own face from a mirror, the perspective of the other. This familiar but neglected view of our body can lead to ponderings of a new relation to our inner environment.
